Why do you use 9-10 when you are saying that the trade is for after the close of the first hour of trading which is 9:30-10:30? Aren’t you using the bar after a half hour of premarket and the first half hour after trading opens?
Really great question and we apologize for any confusion! We like to use the 9:00 AM ET to 10:00 AM ET one hour candlestick on the Nasdaq 100 E-mini Futures Ticker Symbol NQ. The market opens at 9:30 AM ET, however we wait for the one hour candlestick to close that opens at 9:00 AM ET and closes at 10:00 AM ET. The reason we use this specific candlestick is because the results from the Tradingview back test are wonderful and so far the forward test and trades have been great as well! Long answer short, the reason we focus on the this specific candlestick is because of the results.
